Strategic ES as an effective management tool |
Evaluation
One key question in any company is whether, in what form, how far and by whom the quality of the follow-up process should be supervised and monitored.
Monitoring actions and measures
Part of the logic of any strategic management tool is that actions and measures are not monitored in isolation: They have to be viewed in the context of the operational and strategic tasks and objectives. The hallmark of a strategically mature ES is, therefore, that the measures and actions derived from it are integrated into the routine reporting systems so that they can be monitored in the same way as any other activity.
If no such system exists or can be used, LOGIT can provide the respective planning and monitoring tools. These are a part of the manager toolbox and can be adapted to your corporate specifics.
The bottom line
To do nothing is to go backwards! For a step-by-step ramp-up of the ES, it is crucial to take stock of the situation regularly and honestly and to define the potential for further development. That’s why we let our customers judge for themselves and put our performance under scrutiny. Inversely however, we make no bones about telling our customers where internal processes could and should be improved. It is important that the managers, project members and coordinators should share their knowledge and experience with one another in a process of “learning from one another.” Here again, we have developed concepts and procedures that work.
